Acceptance Criteria

We DO NOT accept dogs with foot injuries or any injury that must be wrapped or needs to be kept clean. This is for the health and safety of your dog. This is for boarding and daycare.

• Dogs that have been spayed must be 14 days post-surgery and have stitches removed.
• Intact dogs over 8 months old will not be allowed in group play.
• Remove electric fence or bark collars. They are not allowed while in group play.
• No beds or blankets. We have soft cots for all the dogs to lay on.

All medication, supplements, vitamins, and CBD products MUST come in their original packaging. If they are not in the original packaging we WILL NOT GIVE IT.

THIS IS A PACFA RULE THAT WE ARE REQUIRED TO FOLLOW. NO EXCEPTIONS.

Do Not Bring

• Dog bowls, high feeders, and scoops.
• No big bones or hard treats that take a long time to eat. Bones and hard treats cause the dogs to fight under the kennel. They will not be given these treats while boarding.

• Dog food
  • We accept dry, canned, raw, and dehydrated dog food.
• Medication, Vitamins, Supplements.
  • In the original packaging it was prescribed or purchased.
  • DO NOT put the medications or vitamins in a Ziploc bag.
• Soft treats
• Dog jackets and dog goggles

Requirements

• Dogs are required to have the following vaccinations: Rabies, Distemper (DHLPP), Canine Influenza and the Bordetella (kennel cough) vaccine, with a booster every 6 months or the one year vaccination, which  is now accepted. 
• We do not accept PIT BULLS or purebred CHOWS, but will refer you to boarders that will daycare and overnight them.  
• PACFA REQUIREMENTS
  • We MUST HAVE a signed copy of our pet care agreement for every pet in our care.
  • We will require a copy of your pet’s vaccination records. Please bring in a current copy, or have your vet fax them to our office at 303-526-9212 or e-mail them to talktothepaw@caninescanyon.com. We need to see proof of vaccination before dogs go through the half-day evaluation.
  • Health: Dogs must be in good health. If there is a pre-existing condition or the pet is over the age of 8 years, we will require a release – FROM YOUR VET – to participate in a day care environment.
  • Medications: If your pets have any prescribed medications require the prescription bottle they came in. If you don’t have them then we can’t administer them! This is a requirement from the Department of Agriculture.
  • New Procedure for seriously ill pets: If pet becomes seriously ill or injured and requires (in our professional judgement) professional attention, Canines’ Canyon will provide timely veterinary care (regardless of what the client desires) as follows: we will contact our emergency veterinarian first (Genesee Veterinary Hospital). If not available, we will contact the nearest veterinarian hospital and/or administer medicine or give other requisite attention to the animal as recommended by the emergency veterinarian, and the expenses thereof shall be paid by the Owner. 
• Dogs must be at least 4 months of age.
• Dogs are required to have the following vaccinations: Rabies, Distemper (DHLPP), Canine Influenza and the Bordetella (kennel cough) vaccine, with a booster every 6 months or the one year vaccination, which  is now accepted. 
• Cats are required to have the following vaccinations: Rabies, FVRCP, and Distemper.
• Dogs over 7 months of age must be spayed or neutered. Groom dogs are the exception, but they will not be allowed in the play areas.
• Dogs are required to pass a half-day socialization evaluation. If scheduling a first time boarding, the half-day socialization evaluation must be scheduled in advance of the boarding stay. It cannot be part of the boarding schedule. Aggressive dogs are not good candidates for day care environments. If your dog(s) shows signs of aggression, and we do not have the space to isolate it outdoors, it may spend most of it’s time in its kennel.
• HOLIDAY BOOKINGS require a $100 non-refundable deposit for one dog or a $200 non-refundable / non-transferable deposit for two or more dogs. We will call you to confirm your reservation and get your deposit about a month in advance. 
  • We are closed on all major holidays: New Years, Spring Break, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas. 
• Cancellation Policy on non-holiday stays: Overnight Boarding – Please give us at least -24-hour notice.
• LATE PICK UP CHARGE: On departure date, pets must be picked up by 10:00 a.m. to avoid a $20.00 per dog charge. Sundays & bathing dogs with prior exception excluded.
• EXTRA CHARGES:       
  • $2.00 per day per dog to feed our Natural Balance
  • $1.00 per day, per dog for administering meds

Cancellation Policy

• Overnight Boarding: Please give us at least 24 hour notice. If it's cancelled the day of the booking a $10.00 cancellation fee will be charged. The Holiday and Spring Break booking deposit of $100/one dog and $200/two or more dogs is non-refundable/ non-transferable.
• If we have left for the day, we will tuck your dog in a nice cozy bed and lock up for the night. You will incur an additional overnight stay charge.
